As a Certified Nurse Midwife Hospitalist, I work exclusively with the migrant,
undocumented, Haitian, Hispanic, High Risk, morbidly obese population in South Florida.
Attended to hospital births, assisted in numerous C/Sections as First Assistant, repaired numerous
complex lacerations, managed a number of shoulder dystocias, IUFD, frank breech birth, VBACs,
postpartum hemorrhages, 20+ week inevitable abortion, with birth of live nonviable fetus. I also
provide care to numerous teenage, obese and AMA women, who at the end of each risk factor
spectrum, developed GDM, preeclampsia and/or HELLP Syndrome, among other complications of
pregnancy, necessitating complex clinical management. In addition, I work with women who have
been victim of domestic abuse, including battered women and drug addicted women, women who
have STI’s during pregnancy, together with secondary and tertiary syphilis infected women, among
other high risk clinical scenarios.
I am a multilingual communicator skilled in building and strengthening relationships
with diverse populations and related sequelea. Excellent and compassionate multi lingual
communicator with large spectrum of clinical awareness, knowledge and a continual focus on
working with peers, subordinates, physicians, and other medical staff to drive positive outcomes
and client/provider partnership. I base my practice on the belief that pregnancy and motherhood
are choices and fully support the woman in her reproductive and/or birth control choices.

Premier Associates for the Health Care of Women- October 2014/ Present. High risk Perinatal focused
practice, caring only for women who are experiencing high risk pregnancies and conditions such as
Chronic Hypertension, Obesity, IDDM, GDM, Multiples pregnancy, IVF pregnancies, Thalassemia,
Factor V Leiden (and other clotting disorders), women with immune disorders, low PAPP-A results,
incompetent cervix, multiple C/S, Cerclage, together with evaluating images, measuring nuchal
translucencies, observing for nasal bone, evaluating fetal echocardiograms and referring as needed,
evaluating AFV, Fetal HC to AC ratios, evaluating for SGA/LGA, BPP/NST, preterm labor, among other
complications.
Bethesda Memorial Hospital- June thru September, 2014. Contracted position as Bethesda Memorial
Hospital awaited implementation of Clinic Physicians and Midwives of new contract and directorship.
Certified Nurse Midwife Hospitalist attending births and caring for the underserved, undocumented and
refugee population in the South Florida area where acuity, such as chronic and pregnancy induced
hypertension, GDM, among other clinical challenges is high, responsible for triage, inpatient post partum
and intrapartum patients, together with First Assist duties. Presently, I am receiving training in the
Maternal Fetal Health, subspecialty and seeing high risk patients who are experiencing risk perinatal
pregnancies.

Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological services to patients with socio-economic
complexities such as incarceration, lack of adequate living conditions, unemployment, homelessness, and
intimate partner violence. Exposed to a wide range of clinical complexities, which included but were not
limited to late-to care, insufficient care, drug abuse during pregnancy, HIV, multi-drug resistant UTIs,
multi-organism STIs, STI counseling, IUFD, GBS UTI's, SGA, obesity, gestational diabetes, poor
nutrition, placental failure, anemia, Chronic high blood pressure, gestational hypertension, placental
abruption, eclampsia, diabetes, premature labor, status post Leep procedure, Interpartner violence and/or
mental illness during pregnancy. Population had high rate of ante partum, intrapartum, and postpartum
complexities. Hospital births included inductions and NSVD with use of FSE, IUPC, amnio Infusion and
Oxytocin/ Cervidil augmentation.

Delivered care to low-risk population with well to do socio-economic status, providing comprehensive
obstetrical and gynecological services. Performed in compliance with strictly low-risk criteria. Clients
gave birth at home or BirthCenter, unless emergencies arose during labor.
