PROJECTS
Design and Evaluation
o General Electric Corporation – Schenectady, NY – Design of Water Reuse System for a ceramic tube
manufacturing process. Project included a hydraulic evaluation of the pumping and tankage required for
the system and the use of an Ultrafiltration Membrane System for particle removal from the wastewater
for its potential use. Completed an Installation Control/Operational Commissioning (IC/OC).
Waste Management – Rochester, NH – For the Leachate Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Upgrade
o
Project, performed a Hydraulic Evaluation of the required pump systems for the unit processes and
recommended the pump selections for these processes. The systems evaluated were for the Heat
Exchanger System, Sequencing Batch Reactor, Sludge Load-out System, and Effluent Tank System.
Waste Management – Rochester, NH – For the Leachate WWTP Upgrade Project, performed a flow
o
analysis to assess the potential reduction for wastewater discharge volumes. The technologies evaluated
included Reverse Osmosis and Solids Concentration Systems.
Perrigo Nutritionals – Georgia, VT – For the WWTP Upgrade Evaluation Project, performed an evaluation
o
of the existing system and provided recommendations for system upgrades including the processes of
Dissolved Air Flotation, Equalization, Sludge Collection, Sludge Processing, and Chemical Treatment.
Honeywell Inc. – Syracuse, NY – Performed a Hydraulic Evaluation of the proposed unit process
o
equipment used in the Wastewater Treatment Plant built to treat dredge water from the Onondaga Lake
Cleanup Project. Processes evaluated included Multi-Media Filters and Granular Activated Carbon Units.
Mallinckrodt – Hobart, NY – Evaluated the alternatives for segregation of Sanitary Wastewater and
o
Process Wastewater at the facility. Wastewaters were required to be segregated due to pH swings in the
Process Wastewater that adversely affected the operation of the local Publicly Owned Treatment Works.
O-A-T-K-A (Dairy Cooperative) – Batavia, NY – Performed a Flow Evaluation Study to estimate the
o
volumes of daily water used by each of the unit processes and proposed recommendations where
potential water savings could be achieved. The project required an understanding of the facility’s dairy
production processes and the flow directions of the facility’s influent and effluent water.
IBM – Endicott, NY – Design of Sub-Slab Ventilation Systems installed in residences and businesses
o
impacted by contaminated groundwater. The project involved over 500 residences and commercial
buildings. Completed IC/OC of these systems after installation to assess operational performance.

Project Management
o IBM – Endicott, NY – Lead Engineer for Contaminated Groundwater Conveyance Piping and Groundwater
Treatment System Project of approximately 2,000 feet of aboveground and underground groundwater
conveyance piping and construction of a Groundwater Treatment Plant. Engineering disciplines included:
Site/Civil, Architectural, Structural, Environmental, Mechanical, HVAC, and Electrical.
Bristol-Myers Squibb Company – Syracuse, NY – Managed decommissioning of a Penicillin Production
o
Process in one of the main production buildings of the facility. The project involved coordination with
mechanical contractors to ensure that the equipment was disassembled properly and that potential
penicillin contamination was kept within the building confines.
Corning Inc. (Diesel and Erwin Facilities) – Corning, NY – Performed Flow Evaluation Studies at two
o
facilities to estimate the volumes of daily water used by each of the processes and proposed
recommendations where potential water savings could be achieved. Project required an understanding of
the facility’s manufacturing processes and the flow directions of the facility’s influent and effluent water.
Installed flowmeters in various areas of the Diesel facility to collect data for the evaluation.
United States Army Reserve Sites (Florida, Texas, Maine, and New Hampshire) – Performed equipment
o
inventories at thirteen United States Army Reserve (USAR) sites in Florida, Texas, Maine, and New
Hampshire. The type of equipment inventoried included HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection
systems. Project was completed to assist the USAR in obtaining site equipment maintenance contracts.
Compliance
o TRW Inc. (Various USA Sites) – Prepared monthly, quarterly and annual monitoring reports for various
environmental groundwater remediation sites. The reports including evaluating groundwater sampling
results, analyzing groundwater flow direction maps, and performing operational analysis on the efficiency
of the groundwater treatment systems installed.
o Mohawk View Water Treatment Plant – Colonie, NY – Design of Chemical Bulk Storage tank Secondary
Containment System. Coordinated two 5-year Chemical Bulk Storage tank inspections in accordance with
New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) Regulations.
o Bristol-Myers Squibb Company – Kirkville, NY – Coordinated semi-annual groundwater sampling events
at a contaminated drum storage site and completed summary reports to meet NYSDEC requirements.
General Motors Corporation - Syracuse, NY – Completed monthly Discharge Monitoring Reports for
o
discharge outfalls required by NYSDEC. Evaluated issues with treatment system operation and took
corrective actions to ensure site compliance with State Pollutant Elimination System Permit requirements.
