WORK EXPERIENCE

Sandfill/Q-Fill/Soldering

Thomas & Betts - Hickory, NC - November 2014 to January 2015

Responsibilities

Filled about 10-15 different types and sizes of fuses that go into transformers on powerlines with sand so the

power running through the fuse has a 'buffer zone' with room to expand and contain the volts going through

the fuse. Then I took them to the Q-Fill room where i soldered two holes, one on top and one on bottom, then

my partner took over from there and I started back at the beginning. I also had cleaning duties like vacuuming,

and filling sand hopper with 10 bags of 50lb sand twice daily.

Accomplishments

I felt like I was an asset to the company, all my trainers said I excelled well and very quickly. It also had an

impact on me, showing me all factory jobs don't have to be complicated, crowded, nor stressful.

Skills Used

Lifting(usually 25-60lbs) multiple times daily, soldering, cleanliness, paying attention at all times, organization,

following rules, doing things the right way.

Front Desk Clerk

Quality Inn/Sleep Inn - Morganton, NC - March 2014 to October 2014

Responsibilities

Made reservations, checked guests in/out, clean front end area, night audit.

Accomplishments

Great with guests, very interactive yet proficient in my job.

Skills Used

customer service, mathematics, multitasking, computer skills, got to be able to work flexible hours/shifts.

Cutting Line/Stack Out/Pack Out

Case Farms - Morganton, NC - November 2013 to February 2014

Responsibilities

Cut chickens, breasts, tenders, clipped tenders, worked in packaging dept unloading the line and loading

pallets with boxes of chicken, wrapped pallets, made combos (big boxes for excess chicken or used for chicken

skeletons), hung chicken ready to cut on the moving zip lines.

Accomplishments

Learned a lot about how chicken is made, did almost every aspect of the factory.

Skills Used

Worked 3rd shift, had to be able to cut chicken without being squeamish, had to keep up with the lines no

matter what. Very fast pace factory job.

Opening Maintenance/Drive Thru Register

Wendy's - Hickory, NC - August 2011 to November 2013

Responsibilities

Opened the restaurant with manager, cleaned equipment, Henny Penny fryers, put them together, stocked

freezers, meat coolers, put together drink machines, grills, worked front and drive thru register, took orders,

made drinks, worked grill and fries sometimes. Moved around a lot after store was openn

Accomplishments

Learned a lot about fast food, learned loyalty towards my job, I loved the management and learned customer

service skills and how to work fast yet proficient.

Skills Used

Had to be fast, learn to count cash fast, strong enough to stock heavy bags, scrubbed parking lots and menu

boards.

Dishwasher/Bus Boy/Closing Cleaner

Patys Anns Restaurant - Valdese, NC - April 2012 to July 2012

Responsibilities

Washed dishes, cleaned tables, mop floors, take trash out, clean coolers and back rooms, closed store with

owner.

Accomplishments

Worked here and Wendy's at same time so learned how to juggle multiple jobs, how busy restaurants are.

Skills Used

showed them how fast paced and clean I was, and loyal.
