PROJECT WORKS

• EFFECT OF SHORT GLASS FIBER ON MECHANICAL AND TWO BODY

ABRASIVE WEAR BEHAVIOUR OF POLYAMIDE(PA66) AND POLYPROPYLE

(PP)(B.E Project)

Description: In the present investigation, the mechanical and tribological properties of short glass

fiber reinforced polyamide66(PA66) and polypropylene(PP) were studied. The mechanical

properties such as tensile strength, flexural strength and impact strength were studied as per ASTM

standards. The results revealed the fact that 5, 10, 15wt. % of short glass fiber reinforcement into

the studied poly blend gives the best tensile and flexural strength, both strength increased and the

impact strength decreased.

The amount of wear is reduces after short glass fiber reinforcement when compare to the neat

blend and specific wear rate also decreased.

• PERFORMANCE OF DIESEL ENGING RIG. (Diploma Final year project)

Description: In this project we designed a Diesel engine and tested the engine with the various

conditions of loads(lamp loads) and calibrated the fuel consumption of the diesel engine.

The reciprocating internal combustion engine inducts the air from atmosphere and combustion

of the fuel and air occurs in the position of the engine which coverts heat to mechanical work. The

expanding gases drive the engine directly, and the products of the combustion are rejected to

atmosphere.
