Work as contract Engineer to develop new labor standards using the W-Planner labor standard software system.
Time study operations on the Cotton line. Utilize labor standards for line balancing.
Industrial Engineer for Lennox Corp (October 2010 - July 2011)
Work as contract IE to develop and install new labor standards using the Maynard MOST time standard system.
Balanced the workload for all major production lines and machining centers. Negotiate labor rates with the
UAW. Savings equalled $500 K per year.
Manufacturing Engineer for Terex Corporation (November 2007 - October 2010)
Lead Kaizen teams to eliminate waste in the production process. Team leader on major product launch. Design
and move production lines to improve efficiency. Write standard work and time study lines
to balance the work flow. Use Value stream mapping to lean production lines. Move outside warehousing to
eliminate that cost and set up central storage in plant. Savings were 3 million dollars. Wrote tech manual for
special navy application .
Industrial Engineer for Whirlpool Corporation (April 2006 - November 2007)
Develop time standards on production lines using the Maynard MOST system. Lead Kaizan teams to eliminate
waste and improve productivity. Set up Kanban systems parallel to production line. Redesign Ice maker line to
double production and reduce labor by 10 per cent. Annual savings were 500K per year.
Industrial Engineer for Case New Holland (September 2004 - March 2006)
Work as contract IE to develop time standards on major production lines. Team member on cost reduction team
to reduce labor on production line. Savings of $1 million per year.
Industrial Engineer for Lennox Corporation (January 2002 - August 2004)
Work as contract IE to develop and install new labor standards using the Maynard MOST system. Balance
workload to optimize efficiency on main production line and machining centers. Savings were 600K per year.
Industrial Engineer for Case New Holland (August 1997 - January 2002)
Work as contract IE to develop labor standards on the backhoe and forklift lines. Team member in building and
launching new combine model. Built 7 prototypes by hand for field testing. Design special tooling for
assembly.
Project Engineer for Calvert Mining Corporation (January 1992 - August 1997)
Work as a project Engineer to set up a mining and manufacturing facility. Purchase and install new equipment
and manage a crew of 10 employees.
Industrial engineer for Jomac Corporation (January 1989 - January 1992)
Design and construct new Roller manufacturing plant. Draw original plans for architect to use for construction.
Manage construction crews through completion. Brought in under budget. Move plant from old facility to new
one. Purchase and install new state of the art equipment. Time study cut and sew rain gear operation in South
Carolina.
Industrial Engineer for Exide Battery Company (January 1985 - January 1989)
Design and build new distribution center. Time study all operations and balance the work load. Manage cost
reduction programs which saved over one million dollars per year.
