Project Work Done At Degree Level
> Name of Project:- "Effect of different valve lift profiles on DI
diesel engine using CFD
simulations".
> Synopsis of the Project :-
The main objective of the project is to analyze the flow through
various valve lift profiles in Direct Injection diesel engine and to
obtain fully transient CFD analyses of different valve profile
strategies for the intake strokes to evaluate the effect on in-
cylinder flow-field evolution.
Analysis of Direct Injection diesel engine is performed on
various valve lift profiles with the same mesh size and same boundary
conditions using Computational Fluid Dynamics tools like ANSYS_ICEM,
ANSYS_FLUENT. By setting different valve lift profiles from 4mm, 6mm,
8mm, 10mm to 12mm, in-cylinder flow is analyzed. Finally contours of
velocity, turbulence, turbulent KE, turbulent dissipation rate and
Static pressure is plotted and studied at respective valve lift
profile.
