Title : Commercial Banking Analysis System

Client : Bumiputra Commerce bank, Malaysia.

Designation : ETL Developer.

Team size : 7.

Description

The Client for the project is Bumiputra Commerce bank, one of the leading

Banks in Malaysia. The company was looking for new business avenues wanted

to increase the customer base and attract more investments the system has

been developed to provide clear picture of the strengths of the bank in

order to take effective decisions and build good customer relationship.

Roles & Responsibilities:

> Analyzed the requirements and framed the business logic for the ETL

process.

> Understand the business function by reading the existing documents

available for the project.

> Extracted source data from flat files, Teradata and loaded to a

relational Data warehouse as per requirement.

> Developed mappings in Informatica to load the data from various

sources into the Data Warehouse,

using different transformations like Source Qualifier,

Expression, Lookup, Aggregate, Update Strategy,

Rank and Joiner.

> Responsible for Performance Tuning and Error Handling of

Informatica mappings.

> Experienced in handling slowly changing dimensions (scd1 and

scd2).

Liberty Mutual Group is a diversified worldwide insurance service

organization. Liberty Mutual provides a broad range of services like life,

auto, home and business insurance. The project that I was involved

consisted of developing a Claim. Management System, which provides the

technology that, assists claim professionals in administering claim

practices in a timely and effective manner. The data warehouse was designed

for analyzing all claims across all its lines of business, with history in

some cases stretching back more than 10 years.

Roles & Responsibilities:

> Understanding requirements document.

> Collect and link metadata from diverse sources, including

relational databases and flat files.

> Used Informatica Designer to create mappings using different

transformations. Like Source

Qualifier, Expression, Aggregate, Union, Rank and Joiner.

> Optimized the performance of the mappings by various tests on
