Project title : Synthesis of Functionalized CdSe and their interaction with Dye (Ru-N719)
Duration : 1 year
Key Learning : The functional capping ligands equivalent to TOPO were successfully synthesized and well
Characterized by 1H NMR, 31P NMR and Mass spectroscopy. The interaction with QDs and Ru
Dye was studied and concluded the decrease in PL intensity of QDs.
Research Report
Worked on the research of the Synthesis of Diisopropyl (3-nitrophenyl) Phosphonate (L-NO2) and Diisopropyl
(3 aminophenyl) Phosphonate (L-NH2) and TOPO capped CdSe Nanocrystals (CdSe-TOPO).
Synthesised Quantum dots CdSe-L-NO2 and CdSe-L-NH2 through Ligand exchange of CdSe-TOPO Nanocrystals with
L-NO2 and L-NH2 Ligands.
Spectroscopic interaction of these Nanocrystals with Ru dye (N-719) was also researched.
