Project: " Synthesis of Bio-Diesel from
Neem Oil and Testing the Physico-Chemical Properties of the Blended Neem
Oil Bio-Diesel and comparision with Conventional Diesel"
The project is mainly concentrated on preparing Bio-Diesel from Neem
oil and then comparing the properties of these with commercially available
diesel and also fuel properties such as Flash point, Density, Calorific
value, Ash, moisture content and pour point are tested and it is almost all
nearer values when compared it with diesel.
This project deals with the study of availability of natural resources
for the preparation of bio-diesel which can be used for CI engines as a
fuel and most preferably 20%blend(80% conventional diesel + 20% prepared
bio-diesel) is used.

Conclusion
. The fuel properties results of all blends show that blends of up to
20% straight Neem have value of viscosity and density equivalent to
specified range for diesel engine fuel, therefore it can be concluded
that up to 20% blend can be used to run the stationary diesel engine
at short term basis.
