QUICK BIT ABOUT MYSELF

I am 24 years old, and not enrolled in any schooling program at the time or in the near future. Although

most of my experience may appear as just a bunch of waitressing experience, I assure you I took more

from my past employers other than how to write down an order. I look at it as being in the customer service

industry because expanding my communication skills is one of the biggest gifts it has given me. I can have a

genuine conversation with just about anyone, about anything. Another skill I am proud of that I gained from

past employment is multi-tasking. I have been working in very fast paced environments, where at any given

moment there are multiple things that need to be accomplished quickly and efficiently. There was never time

to forget something or make small mistakes. Through those challenges I feel I have mastered, and even enjoy

working in an environment where multi-tasking is going to be a day to day job. Although I know at any job

there are always tasks that need to be attacked and conquered it's only a matter of perspective. Also, I am

very aware that bringing a negative attitude into the workplace not only affects my performance, but can affect

the performance of my coworkers as well. With that being said, I know that if I do have any issues going on

outside of work, to leave them outside of work! I put a different mindset on when I walk into work. Anything

that might have been bothering me HAS to take a backseat for the sake of my own performance. My most

recent job at Northern Grounds Landscaping has brought a new scenery into my work experience, and through

that I know for sure I can take on unfamiliar issues without becoming stressed. For a change I was not on my

feet running around, but by no means was being an office assistant any less challenging. I was introduced

to multiple windows, and Microsoft programs, as well as learning how to balance multiple phone calls, faxes,

emails, and even appointments coming through the front door all at once. In my mind, this kind of challenging

work is mind pleasing!
