SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
WORK EXPERIENCE –
Manage a staff of five to ten people in all aspects of reimbursement; insurance verification, case management, billing, intake, scheduling, medical records, reception, facility management, claim submission, collections, cash reconciliation and appeals.
Managed Reimbursement program for Medicare, Medi-Cal, HMO’s, Workers Compensation, Self Pay, Dental, FQHC, Inpatient services, Outpatient services, and all commercial/private insurances to ensure timely starts of care, on-going authorizations for patients and payment of claims. Negotiates rates with non-contracted payers.
Interfaces with all department managers for understanding of new regulations and procedures.
Resolves issues with accounts, sales force, internal and external customers, vendors and management team.
Continual analysis of a multi-million dollar accounts receivable to ensure timely collections while monitoring and identifying payor payment trends. DSO reduced from 137 to 70 in eighteen months.
Completes daily trend analysis of the following reports: revenue report, negative balance report, cash reconciliation report, incoming cash report, collection goals and trend reports and Medicare documentation reports.
Train all new personnel in all aspects of home health/home infusion, DME, Mental health reimbursement, facility, professional, inpatient, outpatient, FQHC, and dental mentoring all who are new to the industry.
Successfully reads and interprets documentation such as billing documents, revenue reports, profit and loss statements, payroll documents, A/R and A/P documents and contracts. Skilled at writing reports and correspondence. Involved in preparations for JCAHO surveys. Able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
