Theme of the Project: Power Factor Correction by using PIC Microcontroller. This involves measuring
the power factor value from the load using PIC and proper algorithm to determine and trigger
sufficient switching capacitors in order to compensate excessive reactive components, that bringing
power factor near to unity.
Project grade: Excellent.

Duties and responsibilities:-
-Preparing preventive maintenance schedules and maintenance tracking sheets.
-Preparing materials consumable charts.
-Supervisor Engineer for maintenance teams for both mechanical and electrical sides
-Preparing daily downtime report for marine units helping tracking Assets status and manpower
performance.
-Preparing daily report for all tasks in the yard even Preventive Maintenance, corrective
maintenance, PM Inspection, Emergency conditions, quality control ...etc.
- Issuing PM monthly summery, consumables monthly summery.
- Arranging for annual, class and radio survey and following up.
- Attending Weekly Meeting to clear all technical situations, marine u nits’ status and planning for
improvements with all the team.
- Troubleshooting and repairing marine automation systems.
- Troubleshooting and repairing tug boats breakdown conditions to get everything on time.

>operating, control and protection circuits >different motors
>electrical starters and alternators >alarming systems
>battery units and emergency power supplies >monitoring equipment
-design different control circuits with complete alarming systems.

especially the power pack unit 58.1 KW Diesel engine and the protection &alarming systems. Our
