Thesis: “The feeding and acoustic behaviour of two dolphin species in the eastern Ionian Sea used as
an environmental indicator”. Advisorship: Prof. Danilo Mainardi.
In order to develop my experience, during my university internship, I collaborated in 1996 with the
Italian National Research Council (CNR), as assistant student, in the oceanographic campaign
Prisma 1 – Leg 2, sampling sea water in front of the Po river estuary in order to understand the
evolving of the interactions between sea and fresh water; using a CTD probe and a rosette with Niskin
bottles. In 1999, during my graduation thesis, I became familiar with underwater acoustic recording
systems: hydrophone, DAT digital recorder, UHER analogical recorder. I also regularly used
Professional photographic equipment and CTD sensors and data logger software. I also prepared
sample for histological analysis.

Organisational / managerial skills In my professional life I often find myself to lead a group. During my national military service I was an
Italian navy officer (onboard a military ship) and I coordinated a group of men working on command

playing in italian championships (second and third level).

also was nominated member of the internal committee for the Environmental Impact Assessment. In
