- Responsible for all media aspects during the tournament including managing the press room. Coordinated and oversaw appearances by celebrity participants in the media room while keeping the media apprised of estimated times of these media avails. Managed and controlled photo ops with celebrity participants on the course. Fielded media inquiries and requests.
- Generated media interest, including society and feature reporters, in off-course events associated with the tournament. like the kick-off party and the annual Gala. Managed media on-site at these events.
● Responsible for day-to-day publicity, as well as developing and implementing strategic public relations plans, for the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum from major events such as the ship leaving to be refurbished and Fleet Week to generating media coverage of ancillary stories such as former crew members or new arrivals to the museum.
- Generated local, national and international media interest in the moving of the ship to be refurbished including creating and overseeing events at the Museum leading up to the move, Achieved desired results by placing a front page photo of the move in The New York Times, live coverage of the move by CNN television, two-page pull out of the ship’s route on moving day in the Staten Island Advance, supplying television outlets with graphics of the ship’s moving day route and by creating and apprising the media of relevant human interest stories.
- Responsible for coordinating and overseeing live shots and interviews for all interested media outlets on the day of the move. Managed media interviews, including promoting the participation of the company responsible for the move, the facility where the ship was going into dry dock and the company responsible for the refurbishment, of the ship’s arrival at it’s temporary home.
● Fostered relationship between ALS Association/Greater New York Chapter and the New York Yankees which resulted in an annual ALS Day at Yankee Stadium on Lou Gehrig’s birthday, complete with an on-field ceremony and in-stadium signage to increase awareness of ALS.
