Project Chief (Leader) Body Parts Design & Development – Yamaha Ray (115cc Scooter) successfully launched

in September, 2012. Preponed launch by two months

Design specification review & finalization of plastic, rubber, casting, sheet-metal and propriety parts. Extensive

usage of Yamaha CAD software. Study of constraints, material selection, assembly check in layout. Handled

almost 110 parts simultaneously leading a team of 4 engineers.

Analyzing and creating technical requirements, statistical analysis, process capability analysis, and discussion with

suppliers and optimization of the manufacturing cost in comparison to the part/product Cost. Reduction of cost in

development phase by 6%.

VA/VE ideas generation, design changes, evaluation of critical parameters, failure a nalysis and timely

implementation between development and production start phase. Handled design changes of almost 30 parts with

20% change in parameters.

Prototype parts testing & production preparation scheduling with vendors. Maintenance of project schedule for

parts development activities. Met deadlines with 94% success rate.

Project management by mold prototype, trial production activities. Root cause analysis of problems by tools like

FMEA, failure tree analysis, fishbone diagrams, Why-Why analysis etc.

NASA Great Moonbuggy Race 2009, Marshal Space Flight Center, Alabama, USA - Led 6-member team to

globally 10th position and Rookie Award for designing human powered lunar vehicle. Conceived l eadership skills,

powertrain design and ergonomic essence.

SAE-Mini-Baja-India 2009 – Spearheaded a 12-member team for designing and fabricating All-Terrain Vehicle

for national competition. The race was held at National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastr ucture Project

(NATRiP), Pritampura. II-position overall, Best acceleration award. Conceived skills on body design, Chassis

SAE-Mini-Baja-India 2007 – Headed the steering and suspension team. Design skills for vehicle dynamics,
