Project: FEED & Detailed Design Engineering of Specialty Chemical and

Liquid SO2 plant

Location: Jubail, KSA

Duration: 16 months till date

Hazardous Area Classification: Zone 0/1 (Ex 'ia')

Project Synopsis:

ADDAR GROUP was founded in 1999 as an Industrial / IT consulting company by

H.E. Dr. Ibrahim A. Ibn Salamah after his retirement from SABIC as a vice-

chairman and managing director.

The project was first of the specialty chemical plants by the ADDAR Chem

group in the chain of 7 future plants on the same lines to be set up in

next 10 years. It required production of 1500 TPD production of Sulpholane

and 1000 TPD production of SO2 plant.

Typical Learning:

. Validation of Basic Engineering Packages

. Instrumentation on typical services like Hydrogen, Isopropyl Alcohol,

Butadiene, Caustic Lye,etc

. Close interaction with LSPB contractors for selection of instruments

and misc. I&C items.

. Clear Distinction between engineering requirements from LSPB

contractor at bid stage and post bid award stage.

2. Client: Sonangal Logistica & Petrobras

Project: Basic & Detailed Design Engineering for Topsides Jetty

Location: Namibia, Africa

Duration: 18 months

Hazardous Area Classification: Zone 0/1 (Ex 'ia')

Project Synopsis:

A topsides jetty is used for loading/unloading of petroleum products like

Gasoline, Jet A1, Kerosene, etc. and transporting the fuel to tank farm

located around 10 km away via underground pipe lines. Detailed engineering

of entire loading/unloading till tank farm was project scope.

Typical Learning:

. Pipeline Leak Detection Systems

. Engineering for 16" Coriolis Flowmeter for process application

. Custody Transfer Flow Metering System

. Instrumentation Requirements for Utility and Process packages.

3. Client: Qatar Petroleum

Project: Basic & Detailed Design Engineering for Desalination Plant

Location: Halul Island, Qatar

Duration: 16 months

Hazardous Area Classification: Zone 0/1 (Ex 'ia')

Project Synopsis:

The design team was required to be directly stationed at Client Office in

Doha since close and face to face coordination was essential with QP top

engineers to adapt to volatile project needs. A desalination plant with a 4

reverse osmosis systems and required dosing for disinfection of water for

generating & supply potable water supply to QP Halul Island residents.

4. Client: Emirates National Oil Company

Project: Basic Design & Cost Engineering for LPG Terminal

Location: Namibia, Africa

Duration: 12 months

Project Synopsis:

A new Mounded Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) bulk storage terminal with LPG

handling facilities was developed after being transported from a topsides

jetty. The LPG is loaded onto trucks using Truck Loading Automation System.

5. Client: Kansai Nerolac

Project: Basic & Detailed Design Engineering of Nerolac Paints

Location: Hosur, India

Duration: 8 months

Project Synopsis:

Detailed design production plant for 2500 TPD OEM Paints (Automobile Paint)

and 3000 TPD DECO Paints (Decorative Paints) ranging over 4 Process

Buildings, Offsite Building and Utility Building.

Resins.
