PAPER PRESENTATIONS
o Presented paper entitled on “Life Skills to deal with Suicide in adolescence in chennai” at the 3rd
International Conference on Life Skills Education organized by School of Life Skills Education
and Social Harmony held at Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD),
Sriperumbudur, from 22th to 25th November 2011.
o Presented a paper on “Impact of Life Skills on Adolescents Identity Formation” at the 4th
International Conferenceon Life Skills Education organized by School of Life Skills Education
and Social Harmony held at K.B.P.College, Navi Mumbai, from 07 th to 09th December 2012.

o Participated in the 3rd International Conference on Life Skills Education from 22-25
November 2011 at RGNIYD, Sriperumbudur.

INTERNSHIP
Successfully completed the internship programme from 10th June to 11th July, 2012 at
National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) Jaipur, as part of MA in Life Skill Education.
Activities Under Taken During Internship
• Compilation of training manual on Communication,Growing up,Stress and
Time Management,Career Guidance, Substance Abuse.
• Pre training and post training evaluation of life skills among the adolescents
• Field test of manual on students of NIOS.
FIELD VISIT
o Visited Sri Kumaran Old Age Home in Kancheepuram as a part of geriatric care.
o 30 days (90hours) visit to Kiloy Village, Sriperumbudur and formed two teen clubs as
well as conducting activities for the adolescence once in a week
Activities carried out During Field Work in Kiloy village
o Interacted with the Panchayath President and collected the Village profile
o Formed two teen clubs at Panchayath Union Middle School Kiloy
o Interacted with village people about their occupation and living style in the village
o Conducted training sessions on different topics such as substance abuse, coping with
stress and emotion, personal hygiene, sanitarian and society etc. for the teens club
members
o Organised drawing competition as well as various games .
