OBJECTIVE
Looking for a challenging position in the field of RF and Antenna Engineering.
EDUCATION
Masters of Science, Electrical Engineering (Graduated: August 2014, CGPA: 3.4)
South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (SDSM&T), Rapid City, SD
Graduate Thesis: “Development of a self-adaptive array and a polarization switchable microstrip antenna as
the fundamental elements of an adaptive polarization switchable antenna array”. In this thesis a self-
adaptive array and a polarization switchable antenna was designed, fabricated and measured.
EXPERIENCE
Research & Teaching Assistant, SDSM&T, ECE Dept., Rapid City, SD (Sep 2012 to
Aug 2014)
• Assisted in research on reconfigurable flexible antenna array system with bending.
• Assisted students in the “Circuits II” course.
System Engineer, Telenor Group (Grameenphone) (May 2012 to
Aug 2012)
• Worked on maintaining and troubleshooting of Huawei Base Transceiver Station (BTS), Microwave (NEC, SDH,
PDH, Ericsson mini link), site acceptance, configure new Cells, project planning for UMTS.
• Worked on Quality Assurance, software upgradation of Base Station Controller (BSC).
Engineer, Axiata Group (ROBI) (Jul 2010 to Apr 2012)
• Worked on swap project (ROBI-Nokia Siemens), commissioning and maintenances of Ericsson RBS, NSN (Flexi)
and Huawei BTS and BSC, configure new Cells, project planning, troubleshot of BTS and Microwave (RTN,
Ericsson mini link, Harris Startex, Alcatel AWY) link, drive test and log analysis (pre, post and swap night), and
provided recommendation to improve Key Performance Indicators (KPI), UMTS, single site verification (SSV),
bench marking of GSM network, support other team members remotely etc.
• Worked with Quality Assurance team, site acceptance, led three technical teams during the project.
PROJECTS
Designed and implemented a horn antenna (Oct 2012 to Nov 2012)
• A horn antenna was designed to work at 2.4 GHz by using Roger’s material, measured its radiation pattern in
anechoic chamber by using Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) and calculated the gain.
Designed and implemented power divider (Oct 2012 to Dec 2012)
• A 1:4 power divider was designed in ADS, fabricated and measured to work within 5 to 6.5 GHz. In order to make
the power divider flexible, 16 mil Rogers’s substrate was used.
Designed a uniform antenna array in 3D space (Nov 2013 to Dec 2012)
• A uniform antenna array in 3D space was simulated in MATLAB to find out its array factor, directivity and finally
drew on 3D. The simulations were performed for both dipole and microstrip antennas.
Designed and implemented a Patch antenna (Mar 2013 to Apr 2013)
• A patch antenna was designed in IE3D to work at 1.575 GHZ. This antenna was fabricated on Rogers’s material
and measured its radiation pattern in anechoic chamber of SDSM&T and calculated the gain.
Controller Design of Open-loop Unstable Ball and Beam System (Aug 2013 to Dec 2013)
• A proportional derivative (PD) controller was designed for open loop unstable system to stabilize the ball on to the
beam. The linearized system ID was deduced via bode plot decomposition method.
