To whom it may concern:
Having worked in a manufacturing environment for the last thirty
years, I have amassed considerable knowledge of today's high - tech
manufacturing practices and principles. For the majority of my
working career, I specialized in CNC programming/machining, jig and
fixture design with an emphasis on short run specialty parts as well
as mass production of complex components for area businesses.
I am currently employed as a Sr Manufacturing Engineer for a pump
manufacturer and most recently as a Programming Engineer dealing with
both conventional and non-conventional machining and welding of "super
alloys" used in the construction of turbine engine components for
aircraft and land based vehicles.
I had been employed in Manufacturing and Quality Assurance of
engine/suspension components for turbo-diesel heavy equipment. On the
manufacturing end, responsibilities primarily revolved around new
program, process and fixture implementation, modifications and
maintenance of existing processes for assigned manufacturing cells.
From the Quality standpoint, duties included, but not limited to,
capability studies, FMEA's, control plans corrective actions, gage
R&R, internal audits and CMM programming and supervision.
Before that, I was involved in Project Management of medium to large
(up to 50k lbs) components and/or assemblies of rolling mills for the
steelmakers along Lake Michigan, Lake Erie and for Alcoa Aluminum in
Little Rock and Hot Springs, Arkansas. I was responsible for all
phases of project completion, including quoting, material
requisitions, scheduling, to floor supervisor of manufacturing and
assembly as well as final inspection.
This letter is just a brief summary of my abilities and I would
welcome any opportunity to discuss my qualifications at length at
another time.
Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from
you in the future.
Sincerely,
Glenn Kalis
