DRIVER CONDITION MONITORING AND ALERTNESS MAINTAINING SYSTEM

Areas of exposure: Brain Computer Interfaces, Electroencephalography, Biomedical Signal processing, Filters, ECM in automobiles.

Outcome: A driver’s mental condition detected by using EEG sensors. Signals are coupled with signal processing unit. Activates alertness system or Fuel lines deactivate as per the condition of driver, whether he is normal or sleeping or drunken.

OPTIMIZATION OF METAL FLOW IN MULTIGATING SYSTEM

Areas of exposure: Foundry practices and Manufacturing, Design of a casting system, flow analysis of metal in a casting, thermodynamic concept in casting.

Outcome: Design modification of runner in a multi gating system with uniform flow rate through by multiple gates. Simulation was complete by using SolidCast 8.0 software.

• Won Third Prize for presenting a paper titled on Antilock Breaking System held at

Kottai Mariyamman Polytechnic college, Salem.

• Presented a paper titled Non Destructive Test held at Vignesh Polytechnic college,

Thiruvanamalai.

TECHNICAL EVENTS:

• Won First Prize in the event Contraption in Tathva’12 conducted by National

Institute of Technology, Calicut.

• Won Second Prize in the event Contraption in Pragayan’12 conducted by National

Institute of Technology, Thiruchirapalli.

• Participated in Leyland Innovative in Kurukshetra’13 conducted by College of

Engineering, Anna University, Chennai.
