My most valuable assets for an RN position with Sunrise Staffing are that I have successfully contributed to and am committed to critical thinking to save lives and give the highest quality care to every patient in all areas of work. I have been the House Supervisor, on nights, for WVH using my skills to assist the Surgery Services Team, Pre-Op/PACU, as well as the Trauma team and entire hospital. I also bring a multitude of experience in direct patient care settings, as well as outpatient care settings to the position. In all of my positions thru the years, I make critical decisions, practice continual critical thinking skills while enjoying leading, teaching, mentoring and collaborating with physicians and staff. EMPLOYMENT
April 2013-current Administrative House Supervisor, West Valley Hospital
I was promoted to the Administrative Supervisor for WVH in April 2013. This role has given me great experience in the understanding of daily operations of the hospital. I have been leading, educating the staff and mentoring staff since day one in this role. I am responsible for staffing, bed placement, code blue, rapid response, trauma codes A, B, C as well as all house issues. As a resource for the entire hospital, I have been able to help with projects such as proctoring and scheduling Trauma Level 1 preparation classes for our nurses and staff. I was brought onto a project this summer with the Impact Cerner Team, which enabled me to educate the providers and lead the team of Cerner trainers, as well as scheduling and creating sessions for all of our providers training and Advanced CPOE. Transition into “go-live” as a super user was my next step into helping the providers with Cerner. The Cerner Impact and CNO also requested my help in proctoring the practice sessions for nursing staff in preparation for “go-live”. This was an enriching experience in Clinical Informatics, team building, education, scheduling all the nurses and conducting all the sessions. The vision of our Impact Team was to make a smooth go-live by training the nurses in a no pressure learning environment and it worked! I am preparing to return to college for my MSN and advanced practice degree as we grow in our roles for education at WVH.
Oct 2009-April 2013 Cardiac Rehab Lead, West Valley Hospital
West Valley Hospital hired me to develop, certify with the State of Arizona, bring a new service line to Abrazo and open Cardiac Rehab. With the Direction of Operations, the Director and Medical Directors, our vision was highly successful. We educated hospital staff, and most importantly promoted recovery and healthy lifestyles with the open heart, STEMI, CHF, PTCA, Stents and wide variety of other patient populations. I also led the team in onboarding staff and training all the staff, as we moved into opening our doors September 2010 for Cardiac Rehab Phase 2. We grew to seeing over 1800 patients and had a highly successful rate of positive outcomes, as evidenced in the bench marking, we became part of nationally.
