Sr. Systems Engineer

On Target IT Solutions is a computing services company serving businesses and

organizations in the Peachtree City and Atlanta areas. On Target provides critical

computing services ranging from fully managed computing environments to simple

desktop support including New Technology Rollouts and Network Maintenance

Established infrastructure including Exchange, BES, Accounting, and RDP

servers.

Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and report to client final

Configure and maintain Active Directory in Windows Server 2003, 2008, and

2012 for both our clients’ internal operations at On Target.

Identified and implemented WAN optimization reducing WAN bandwidth

utilization nearly 65% resulting in reduced costs and improved communications.

Spearheaded the migration from all physical servers to virtual servers using

VMware ESX.

Administer 120 virtual servers on 40 physical machines running Windows Server

2003 and 2008. The servers were clustered for fail over tolerance and hosted

Exchange and SQL in addition to providing DC, DNS, DHCP, File, and Terminal

Server functions.

Responsible for developing new sales channels and overseeing the design and

Managed growing pains associated with an increase in employees from 30 to

1,700 and an increase in annualized revenue from $2.8 to $216.0 million over two

years during which the company went public and learned to scale operations.

Designed initial LAN and WAN using Microsoft servers, Active Directory, and

Exchange to unify the operations between the Tampa based headquarters and

R&D in Atlanta, Georgia.

Configured Windows Server 2000 Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, DNS

and DHCP.

Designed user interfaces and wrote technical requirements to develop the

interfaces and integrate them with existing technologies. In this role, I also wrote

the QA documentation to insure proper testing of the new interfaces prior to

implementation.

Identified and corrected internal inefficiencies in the company to increase sales

efficiencies and profits by reducing customer acquisition costs by 34%.

Built comprehensive financial models to analyze net customer acquisition costs

Assigned to the 91st Tactical Fighter Wing where I worked directly with other

specialists to analyze mission needs, conduct the mission, and perform

post operation debriefings to analyze the results of the mission.

Responsible for building, programming, operating, and maintaining Electronic

Warfare Systems that detected, tracked, and jammed radar threats to American

aircraft.

In 1993 I was selected as part of the RIF which was underway and I was

provided an Honorable Discharge and left the Air Force with a complete benefits

package.
