Description Cummins Inc. uses Oracle Applications in their Financial
Shared Services Organization (CFS) for General Ledger,
Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable duties. All
financial reconciliations are performed in this system
across Cummins. As part of the BOLT program, Cummins Inc.
wants to re-implement Finance solution from Oracle apps 11i
to Release 12.1.3 with additional functionality.
The integration between the Entity and BOLT is being done
on Two Pilot Sites and subsequently it would be rolled out
to all other entities. Core 11i and BOLT R12 will be in
existence till all the entities are linked to the BOLT R12
Instance. All the Master Data like COA, Currency Rates and
Customer etc would be maintained in BOLT R12 Instance. As a
part of BOLT Project Journal data from all the sub-ledgers
in the Pilot Entities are to be interfaced to the General
Ledger in BOLT R12 Instance

developed a custom object_types, table_types and custom
APIs at ERP side and to send this data to Fusion Middleware
we have used different latest features of Fusion Middleware
which includes Oracle business events, Advanced BPEL Queues
and Web services.

Description To support lower volume on some manufacturing locations,
the monthly forecast process is not conducive to business
needs. To simplify the existing scenario we modified the
forecast for 1/month into 1/week using the standard process
(rounding up), generating requirements for 4 per month
which helped business to better mirror actual customer
demand patterns.
