Qualifications
Mental health counselor with fifteen years of experience providing individual therapy to a diverse population. I also have more than seven years of experience managing a million dollar nonprofit company which has a focus on persons with disabilities and special needs.
Targeting juveniles who has been adjudicated, presents with psychological treatment issues, special needs issues, and conduct disorders. Experiences include residential treatment and outpatient settings. Strong strength in the area of groups; Substance Abuse, Anger Control, Self Esteem Building, Sex offenders, and Drug trafficking of illicit drugs. Conduct intake assessments for incoming residents and formulate mental health treatment plans. Supervised, 24 hour crisis intervention service that included clients with (SIB) self injurious behavior. Experience working with foster care children and potential foster parents, services provided also included recruitment and home studies and intervention. Manage a non-profit contracted position through the Department of Children and Families. Responsibilities are to manage payroll, supervise thirty-two employees, counseling. Develop, train and teach Anger management groups Substance Abuse and Sex Offenders groups with children and adults.
