*Application for CFD aerospace Engineer/AERODYNAMICS ENGINEER/Stress
ENGINEER *
Dear Sir/Ma’am,
Your engineering position as Aerospace Engineer Expression of Interest has
been of special interest to me, and subsequently, I am delighted to apply
for the position in your esteemed organization. I have extensive experience
in Flow modelling and simulation, as well as a strong Finite Volume
analysis (CFD: ANSYS CFX) at postgraduate levels of academia research and
Finite Element Analysis (FEA: NASTRAN) background at *QUEST GLOBAL
Engineering* in Melbourne, Australia.
I graduated from the RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia with honours in
Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering in 2005 and a Masters in Applied
Mathematics in CFD (by Research). In the course of study, I have
demonstrated good knowledge and understanding of CFD commercial package of
ANSYS CFX 12.0-13.0 Ver., FLUENT, FEA programs, including NASTRAN. During
the 2-year experience of postgraduate level research, I developed a good
foundation of project based problem solving and analytical skills along
with CFD methodologies and technicalities. In addition, I possess good
theoretical and technical knowledge of the principles behind Fluid dynamics
and Turbulence modelling and have always been a special interest to
continue my career in Aerodynamics and simulation discipline.
I have comprehensive understanding of linear and non-linear modelling
techniques and mesh and grid generation, analysing, post-processing and
interpreting results. During my postgraduate candidature I published two
journal publications in turbulence modelling (see the attached resume).
Apart from my academic and professional experience, I have developed
research and analytical skills with well-demonstrated ability to resolve
problems creatively and logically, and within the stipulated timeframe,
confident and experienced to make decisions independently.
I also gain a in-depth knowledge of Fatigue and Damage Tolerance through
the involvement of Airbus projects; A400M, A330/A340, A320 and A380 on both
Static and Fatigue assessment levels while working as a Stress engineer
with *QUEST GLOBAL Engineering*, Australia. Subsequently I developed skills
on fatigue validation and Technical report writing on F&DT projects.
With my flow modelling and simulation skills and structural analysis
background, an opportunity will be an opening window for a possible
knowledge, research & development and practical experience towards an R&D
engineering/concept development within the Aerodynamics and CFD disciplines.
With proven ability to make an effective contribution to the performance of
a team in all the project and assignments and comprehensive understanding
and ability to interpret and action on standards, methodologies and
terminology as required, I am hardworking, motivated, committed and willing
to learn in new areas, and I can assure I will give my full efficiency for
my tasks and beyond.
I am an Australian citizen willing to travel and have worked within an
environment where necessary security clearance requirements are met.
I believe this position will be a vital opportunity to share my analytical
and technical knowledge with the company, while further developing my
skills and interests in the field of structural analysis, enabling me to
embark on a fulfilling career in the industry.
I will be delighted to start, learn and contribute my knowledge and broaden
my experience through new tasks, concepts and research ideas.
I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss my suitability to the
advertised position further, or if you have any queries, please do not
hesitate to contact me on +61-481-***-*** or via email on
******.***********@*****.*** or *************@*******.***.
Please find enclosed my resume for your reference.
I look forward to a favorable reply from you and thank you for your time
and consideration.
Kindest regards,
Ms Sudharshani Ekanayake
