Project Description:
Southernwater is a water utility company in the southern part of UK.
This is a AMS project which involves providing warranty support for their
regular activities such as employees HR and Finance related activities
through BAS Portal and also meter reading and billing of supplied water for
customers through SAP Systems.
Responsibilities:
. Involved in the 24x7 Production Support
. Performed system health checks regularly which include Instance
monitoring,
OS monitoring and Database monitoring for all the systems in the
landscape.
. Responsible for sending the daily/weekly/monthly reports to senior
managers.
. Scheduling and Monitoring of background jobs. Analyzing the Job Logs.
. Analyzing ABAP Dumps, System Logs, Update Requests, Locks (R/3 and
Database) and other CCMS alerts.
. Monitoring the Buffer Size and Buffer hit ratio, OS File-system space
and Database space.
. Spool management like configuring printers and troubleshooting printer
problems, checking spool consistency.
. Performing and monitoring Database backup on regular base.
