• Group collaborative project in which Anti-American sentiment in South Korea is evaluated,
emphasizing the Kwangju Massacre as a turning point that magnified such emotions.
• Topics explored include the impacts of Anti-Americanism on Korean domestic politics and
foreign relations with the United States, along with this sentiment’s impact upon civil society,
serving as a driving force behind the Korean democracy movement.
Stand Your Ground: Immunity Beyond Justification, Honors Thesis Fall 2012 – Spring 2013
• Yearlong project providing a comparative analysis between Florida’s Stand Your Ground self-
defense statute and New York’s Duty to Retreat Rule.
• Main points include the consequences of individuals responding to “reasonable fear” with deadly
force, the potential for a legal incentive to kill, and the legal barrier to a proper investigation
resultant of the law.
• In addition to Westlaw and JSTOR databases, the Orange County Law Library was also utilized.
