DUTIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS
Senior Site Engineer:
Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, crafts people and operatives;
Agreeing a price for materials, and making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project;
Also responsible for pouring concrete for construction elements.
Checking and verifying and giving approval for carpenter and steel works before concreting.
Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations;
Coordination with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site Manpower and the work of any subcontractors;
Ensure construction finishes of all buildings were of high quality.
Ensure of waterproofing to be done as per specification.
Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications (Material inspection Test).
Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project;
Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress;
Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws;
Maintaining all precautionary procedures required while concreting.
Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect;
Monitor and follow up site safety procedures and quality control.
Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant;
Setting out, levelling and surveying the site;
Studied and revised submittals of construction materials and give comments, recommendations and approval.

Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.
Directs or performs surveys for proposed construction. Estimates costs and determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data.
Inspects construction site to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards. Resolves design or construction problems and meets with contractors and the public.
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
Maintains project database by writing computer programs; entering and backing up data.
Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for project.
