Project: AIG-AIWCS 999 Split Changes
Dec2007 to May2008
Project Description
AIWCS compiles all the policy transactions booked and loads the data into
the GREEN Database ("GDB") on a daily basis through a nightly batch
process. Other Customer applications such as Workers Compensation Bureau
Reporting and Compliance ("WCBRC"), Specially Workers Compensation and
Premium Audit fetch data from the GDB for reporting, claims processing and
auditing purposes.
During the audit process in AIWCS, splits are generated. 999 is one of the
splits and it contains summary transactional data. Currently, 999 split
data is maintained in AIWCS and is passed to Central Reporting System
("CRS") for booking purposes to ensure proper state allocation of premium
for tax and assessment purposes. 999 split data is not currently being sent
to the GDB, as they are not required for Workers Comp. Policy
administration ("WCPOL") or unit statistical reporting. WCBRC requires the
999 split data also in the GDB as part of the AIWCS GDB nightly batch
process for financial reporting purposes
