Implement agronomy projects/programs/productions/initiatives in the assigned area .Ensure
the achievement, advancement and volume targets are at optimal cost of production ratio and
should comply with local regulations, regional and corporate policies and strategies.
Create and maintain a positive work environment through leadership in successful working
relationship with technicians, supporting and motivating them constantly, to achieve common
goals through a combination of efforts. Develop schedules of activities and budgets for tobacco
cultivation and distribute areas to technicians to maximize available resources to produce top

Supports the agronomy efforts of PMFTC to local tobacco suppliers/farmers through transfer of

Project Assignment (GCP/PHI/059/EC) - European Union (EU) funded and Food and
Agriculture Organization (FAO) lead project for rain fed farmers entitled “Increasing Rice Yield
and Productivity through the Promotion of Small-Scale Irrigation and Integrated Crop
Management Systems in Rain-fed Areas”
Research Component - Lead the implementation of Location-Specific Technology
Development activities in the identified sites according to the protocol developed by Philippine
Rice Research Institute.
Technology Promotion - Assist in the conducting Palay-Check Farmers Field School (FFS) in
coordination with Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), Department of Agriculture Regional Office
(DA-RFU) and Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg), specifically acting as resource
person. Promote services, use of yield-enhancing and cost-effective rice technologies among
Local Government Unit (LGU) technicians and farmers by distributing education, information
and communication materials.
Forging Partnership – Assists in the development of provincial/municipal/city agricultural plan
and recommend appropriate programs and strategies. Represent PhilRice in
meetings/workshops related to Palay-Check and Palayamanan systems within area of
responsibility.

Trained in basic leaf processing concepts and specifications, exposed in actual threshing and re-
drying of tobacco leaves until packaging in preparation cigarette processing.

Rice Specialist Training Course – Philippine Rice Research Institute (December 2009 – April
2010)
Intensive training for Rice production from seed production, transplanting to harvesting. Entire
course is covered as the Rice-Check System.
Trained for research work to provide data output from variety trials in which will be suitable for the
location specific growing area. Parameters covers variety, pest and disease resistance, soil fertility
and yield with incorporation of cost and return analysis.
Training in application of Agro-ecosystem analysis considering the immediate actions for pest and
disease, nutrition and fertilization and weather according to the rice crop stages.
Exposed to different mechanization approach in growing rice using mechanical trans-planter,
harvester, and drying facilities.
Trained on extension service provision in forging partnership with stakeholder such as farmers
and LGU in practices of new developed practice of rice considering on how to view area
