Materials Manager, Preston-Eastin, Inc Jan 2013 – Present

Manager of Purchasing, Inventory, and Shipping/Receiving departments with responsibility of procurement of

production, maintenance, and operations items. I manage an annual spend of $12 million and a $2 million

inventory. As Materials Manager my departments has an average 97% on-time delivery and 95% on-time

shipment. Inventory has reduced $405K YTD and increase inventory turns from 4 to 6 per year. These efforts are

achieve through management team management of goals and commitments. I gain buy-in and trust with my

direct reports and achieve our goals by working hand-in-hand to resolve issues.

Supply Chain Manager, Flowserve Corporation Apr 2011 – Jan 2013

Manager for supply chain auxiliary API systems in Tulsa, OK with responsibility of procurement of production

components for auxiliary compressor and pump systems for Oil & Gas processing facilities. I am responsible for

supplier performance, price, on-time delivery, quality, of a global base of suppliers. I am responsible for $30MM

in annual purchases and $7MM inventory. I manage two Senior Buyers and one Staff Buyer which procures and

negotiate best price for instrumentation, pipe valves fittings, metals, casting, pumps, motors, and fasteners

achieving 90% OTD and 98% quality. My team procures from 100+ suppliers located in U.S., Canada, Mexico,

Singapore, UK, Italy, Germany, and India. In 2012 we moved castings to LCS in Mexico with a $115K savings.

We are establishing direct purchase with manufacturers for instrumentation and valves to drive better delivery

and quality performance. Negotiated the discount agreement with Bentley-Nevada for 18% price discount for

$7MM spend. Sourcing agreement for valves from UK and Italy manufactures vs. China and India which

resulted in improved on-time delivery, decreased costs, and better quality.

Purchasing Manager, Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. Jan 2011 – Apr 2011

Promoted to Purchasing Manager in January, 2011, my responsibilities include the managing procurement of

vehicle parts and maintenance services, IT equipment, and capitalize equipment for the Corporation. Dollar

Thrifty has an annual corporate operations spend of $80MM in IT, vehicle maintenance, and facility

improvements. My responsibilities also include managing the supply base for vehicle and facility maintenance

for US and Canada rental operation site which is a $300MM spend. I managed one Senior and one Staff buyer

and continued to procure capital equipment. We utilized JDE PeopleSoft ERP for Corporate procurement and

managed the rental sites PCARD payment system. I managed suppliers’ performance through KPI measurement

of on-time delivery, price, quality, or customer service. My cost reduction methods was leveraging spend and

consolidating the suppliers across commodities and purchase direct from the manufacturer.

Senior Buyer, Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. Oct 2004 – Dec 2010

Senior buyer of fuel, lubricants, vehicle collision parts and service, first aid and safety, office supplies,

environmental waste for 312 company-owned locations in North America & Canada. I procure all capital

projects including IT, facility expansion, and vehicle maintenance equipment for Dollar Thrifty. I manage

$10MM in capital leasing equipment of Garmin GPS and IT server equipment. I am experienced with the JDE

PeopleSoft and Indus Passport ERP systems. I led the SC ordering and improvement process by utilizing

additional functions of quoting and order tracking with JDE PeopleSoft. I negotiated annual savings each year of

$1MM by leveraging spend to best suppliers and consolidating commodity spend to national agreements.

I negotiated $60MM spend for bulk fuel with annual savings of $900K by using an electronic fuel monitoring

system to purchase fuel just-in-time fuel at the best price and reduce fuel inventory by 25%. Negotiated national

Paintless Dent Removal services with $600K spend and savings $100K annually. Negotiated national lubrication

program $6MM spend with $300K savings annually.

Senior Buyer, Georgia-Pacific Corporation Jan, 1999 to Oct, 2004

Senior Buyer responsible for procurement of Maintenance equipment, parts, and Contractor services for Georgia-

Pacific in Muskogee, OK which is a $500MM revenue paper mill. I managed the following commodities: air

cylinders, electrical motors and components, metals, pipe valves and fittings, and pumps. Responsible for

generating saving with Electrical, Mechanical and Industrial suppliers through price discount and rebate

agreements, leveraging spend, and establishing consignment inventory.

Negotiated a three-year maintenance agreement with Kellogg, Brown and Root with savings and rebates of

$150K per year and improved efficiency of the mill’s maintenance program. Savings were achieved by

measuring KBR productivity in labor hour cost, maintenance planning improvements, reduction in shut-down

maintenance hours, and material savings by leveraging KBR pricing agreements.

I negotiated all pricing agreements for roll and napkin converting equipment which included automated conveyor

systems, robotic palletizes, and stretch wrappers. Negotiated forklift fleet lease contract for a fleet of 300+ units.

Negotiated maintenance services for electrical turbine upgrade and boiler maintenance outages. Outsourced

janitorial and restroom maintenance for savings of $5k in 2002 and $9K in 2003. Outsourced roll maintenance

operations for paper machines, to a single provider which improved roll life, quicker repair turnaround, and

realized saving of $200K in 2002 and $206K in 2003.
