EMPLOYMENT AND WORKFORCE. My primary responsibility is to work as Subject
Matter Expert in assisting the department to Design/Implement/Interface
with TRA Project, that is been developed by an outside vendor. I have to
make sure that the software is developed in accordance with the agreed
business requirements and further I need to design and develop interfaces
to the other related existing systems UI benefit system, TAA system. This

I have developed a new CICS system (is going to be part of Automated

Automotive Terminal Operations Project for CSX Tech & CONRAIL, PA
This was one of the systems of CONRAIL that dealt with automotive terminal
operations. Terminal Operations Information System (TOIS) was the system
that kept track of and monitored automobiles loading and unloading to and
from railcars.
Role & Responsibilities:
. Interacted with clients and users to understand the existing
application.
. Wrote functional and technical specifications to transition out the
terminals to CSX & NS.
. Analyzed existing programs to develop new functionality to suit CSX &
NS systems.
Technical Environment: COBOL, CICS, DB2, Total/Supra, Mantis and JCL.
Computerized Documentation System for SeaLand,Inc, TX (Off-
shore&Onsite)9/96 - 12/97
The Computerized Documentation System was one of the oldest systems
existing in Sea-Land transportation system. Vessel Select process was an on-
line process that triggered various batch processes to produce different
kinds of reports and manifests at origin and destination ports.
Role & Responsibilities:
. Worked as Team Lead
. Wrote the technical specifications for the business needs, assigned
coding and unit testing to offshore.
. Conducted integration testing and moved to production, supporting
daily and weekly jobs.
. Increased the overall performance by removing the link from unused
systems.
. Resolved technical problems faced by end users across the world.
. Monitored and guided team members to complete the coding and unit
testing.
. Worked with the team to complete the work requests.
. Produced Test Scripts and Test Cases, confirming to ISO 9001
. Learned, then guided and trained team members to support production
jobs.

Interface to US Customs project for SeaLand, Inc, TX (Onsite)

This system facilitates US Customs review and Approval to move cargo into
United States. The process involves, transmitting Cargo data to Customs,
and receiving US Customs acceptance and reject messages.
Role & Responsibilities:
. Interacting with US Customs department to find out the errors
transmitted or the missing information and sending back the correct
segments
. Correcting the rejection messages and advising users what to transmit
. Identifying the changes required for the existing application.

This system produced arrival notices to customers about vessel arrival.
This process depended on Vessel Select process, to trigger this process.
The system maintained various tables that contained Customers, Ports,
Country codes, Vessels, etc.
