The Strategic Sustainability Plan (SSP) was an extension to the current short -term plan aligning

it with the University Strategic Plan. The project included extensive research of available human

and financial resources to propose cost-effective campus development and community

programs to increase awareness and improve accountability of energy use to reach stated

carbon-neutrality goals.

Employed project management skills in formulating Specific, Measurable, Attainable,

Reliable and Timely (SMART) goals. Thus, articulated scope and schedule of the

project.

Conducted SWOT, Stakeholder Analysis and the Business Model Generation tool, to

identify resources and challenges namely budget, stakeholders, cost, opportunities,

vendors, distribution channels, opportunities, risks, state regulations and NCSU policies.

Economic analysis included a cost-benefit analysis to evaluate the new program

introduced as a solution to the energy crisis and the capital planning process.The

financial analysis projected the return on investment of the new process and the

payback period.

The research included extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams from NCSU

energy and financial management group, vendors and USDOE experts.

Measurable performance indicators were set for tracking project progress and reporting.

Environmental Product Disclosure Outreach- Research at NCSU (February 2014- March

2014). Another project management experience working with NCSU and US Green Building

Council in reaching out to construction industry members to research on their product
