Professional Experience
. Plan, coordinate, and consult with other supervisory staff on the
priorities, task assignments, and work schedules of the maintenance
staff.
. Participate with other supervisors in staffing requirements, work
schedules, and workplans for the efficient deployment of the
maintenance workforce.
. Responsible for ensuring that all planning, scheduling, and execution
of maintenance work is accomplished in a safe and environmental sound
manner.
. Direct all activities regarding repair, preventive maintenance, and
outages for rotating equipment activities for the site.
. Ensure the Routine Maintenance Plan procedure is properly followed.
. Ensure work-orders are planned with proper coding, estimated hours and
descriptions.
. Ensure materials are requisitioned for all materials necessary for the
job by following the designated specifications.
. Coordinate, plan, and schedule maintenance activities optimize
utilization of the workforce and resources to complete priority needs
of the plant.
. Continually identify opportunities to improve plant reliability and
efficiencies.
. Evaluate and assure material requisitions, work plans, and schedules
are being fully utilized.
. Ensure equipment and maintenance histories are maintained properly.
. Monitor the unit database to ensure the jobs being worked are those
that are requested by production but also meet our PM schedules and
safety concerns.
. Coordinate and supervise personnel ensuring adherence to the
maintenance process and plant policies.
. Replaced defective parts of machine and adjust clearances and alignment
of moving parts.
. Aligned machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools,
squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
. Connected power unit to machines and steam piping to equipment, and
tested unit to evaluate its mechanical operation.
. Positioned steel beams to support bedplates of machines and equipment,
using blueprints and schematic drawings, to determine work procedures.
. Signaled crane operator to lower basic assembly units to bedplate, and
align unit to centerline.
. Inserted shims, adjusted tension on nuts and bolts, and positioned
parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments, including Calipers
to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts.
. Moved machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and
trucks.
. Attached moving parts and subassemblies to basic assembly unit, and/or
repaired and lubricated.
. Assembled machines and installed equipment to bolt, weld, rivet, and
fastened them to foundation or other structures, using an extensive
line of maintenance hand tools and power tools.
. Laid out mounting holes, using measuring instruments, and drilled holes
with power drill.
. Bolted parts, such as side and deck plates, jaw plates, and journals,
to basic assembly unit.
. Leveled bedplate and established centerline, using straightedge,
levels, and transit.
. Dismantled machines, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand
tools.
. Performed routine maintenance on selected types of Laser cutting
machines.
