EXPERIENCES:

LS Travel Retail NA (June 2012- March 2013) – District Manager- responsible for

multiple (11) retail stores, a warehouse and a cash room and all the associated

operations revolving around these stores; such stores included electronic,

confection and apparel stores together approximately 75 staff members.

Contacting multiply vendors to purchase their products to promote in these stores,

vendors including but not limited to Coca-cola, Frito-Lay, Turkey hill, postcard

factory and many more. I was responsible in ensuring the managers kept the stores

to the highest possible standards, being well organized and properly merchandised

at all times. I was also responsible for all policies, procedures, compliances and

controls and that they are all being followed, including stock control to ensure

store shrink is within company guidelines so as to protect company property and

assets. Being well organized and schedule regular random audits to ensure

compliance in all areas in and around the operations including customer service,

loss prevention and Health and Safety. I also train, challenge, motivate,

encourage, and provide constructive guidance to store managers, and team related

to all areas of effective operations. Oversees a yearly business planner, promote

sales by organizing monthly/ seasonal sales, contacting vendors about

promotional products, attending month meeting and conference calls with VP of

sales. Completes all human resources needs for each location including payroll,

hiring, store transfers, salary changes and health and benefit plans. Likewise

overseeing multiply store openings, communicating with contractors to ensure the

stores are built and ready for the set merchandising date in order to be ready for

Grand Opening day in the opening terminal at Edmonton Int’l Airport.

Hudson Group of Company (May 2011 – June 2012) Operation Manager –

responsible for multiply retail stores(10), ensuring that all store daily operating

procedures are performed, the consistent delivery of excellent customer service

and store visual presentation. Maximizes sales, conducted store opening/closing/

procedures, provided staff training and performs all cash register preparation,

including daily deposits. Implementing loss prevention procedures, cash deposit

safes and procedures. Ensures that staff report to work on time, dressed in

uniforms. Attended monthly meetings with GM to brainstorm, and develop better

training tools and hiring processes. Developed more routine plans to best benefit

the company and assist in efficient and less time consuming tasks. Minimizing

O/T hours, stocks control including visual merchandising, reordering, and visual

appearance of each store.

Direct Energy (Jan 2009 – Sept 2011) District Manager- Travelling between

districts, and multiple locations (10) to implement sales training, weekly meeting

with managers to develop a better business plan, growth of each store and how to

promote the services and sales. Responsible for the day-day business, giving

directions and instructions, allocating monthly work areas to each store,

overlooking managers and their duties, creating a safe and healthy working

environment, staffing each location, merchandising and the overall operations of

all the locations.

10 Minute Manicure & Cosmetics -Manager(2007-2009) - opening/closing,

merchandising, scheduling, hiring, and disciplinary measures, cash handing

improving sales, staff meeting, and staff training.

Oshawa Vascular Ultrasound (2002-2007) - Office Admin/Manager- booking

appointments, communicating with doctors, filing, stock control, of biohazards

measures, and billing.

Orton Park Pharmacy (2001- 2007) – Pharmacy Manager- collects prescriptions,

processing, organized all documentation, maintained restocked expired

medications, sending verbal medication orders by name and quantity, councils

patients to the usage, verifying the correct dosage with doctors, responsible for the

narcotics safe, responsible for Rx fraud, disposal of unused needles or

medications in the correct manner, maintained a list of all expired stocks and

quantities and many more.
