• Study of failure caused by hydrogen induced cracking (HIC) in X70 and X60 pipeline
steels.

• Corrosion of activated Al particles by hot water as a source for hydrogen.

• Experienced in mechanical properties measurement machines and failure analyses
including tensile test, fractography, hardness and toughness measurement.
• Over 8 years of experience in characterization of materials by metallography, OM, XRD,
SEM, EDS, EBSD and texture measurement.
• Conducted electrochemical tests to evaluate pipeline HIC and corrosion of Al and using
potentiostats.
• Experienced in ball milling and powder processing, sintering, heat treatment and
furnaces.

• Authored and co-authored 18 publications in high ranked scientific journals.

• Lab instructor for 3 academic terms in University of Saskatchewan (U of S).
