To whom it may concern,
I have a BFA in visual communications-graphic design. I am a graphic designer by trade
and I have nineteen years of experience in commercial web and digital printing. I worked
under the direction of the General Manager as a Prep tech team leader these were some
of my responsibilities: produce job correctly and most cost effectively, verify job ticket is
correct: number of pages, how many colors, binding instructions, what type of stock.
Verify job quantity will be met; how many press sheets required, correct layout creation
to meet quantities, creation of die patterns.
Worked closely with CSR’s to satisfy customer needs and questions, meet with
customer, instruct customers on creation of a layout for final production, resolve file
issues or problems, explaining difficulties in the printing process, offer options to improve
job quality and impact, opening, printing or creating PDF files for CSR needs. Also,
worked with Sales force to improve customer satisfaction and meeting with customer to
discuss job requirements. Also, processed jobs through proofing stage; organize
customers files on data storage devise; verify all of customers supplied files from errors,
creation of high resolution PDF for process to RIP devise, create or verify layouts to
meet job requirements, preparing layouts for press room and bindery requirements,
Insure JDF information is available for press room and bindery.
Proactive work flow creation, organize work for multi operator understanding, always
looking for ways to reduce errors, always looking for ways to improve quality.
At Mercury Printing Company, I made 38,500 as the Prep Production Team Leader.
At Fundcraft Publishing, I made 44,300 as the Lead Graphic Designer/Backup Operator.
Salary is open for discussion.
Please contact me at 713-***-****, ****.*****@*****.***. I also have a book with
some of my work. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Dawn D. Rames
