Dear Sir/Madam,
I have read your recent job advertisement for and I am writing to say I am interested in
working for your company and to ask that you consider my application.
My previous experience in Final Cut Pro leads me to believe that I am well suited to this type
of employment as I particularly enjoy editing productions.
In addition I am particularly interested in the services offered by your company and feel that
my knowledge of this area, may help bring a motivated and active candidate with high
demeanour and able to treat staff and customers with utmost respect.
My skills in Final Cut Pro are fairly adequate yet I am always willing to learn through hands on
as well as help from others as much as I would like to help and assist others myself. As my
nature for being part of various volunteering organisations and events in the past could
probably prove I have the patience, wellbeing, enthusiasm and drive needed to help make all
sales run smoothly and making customers feel comfortable.
Here are two examples of my most well edited productions – one from college and one from
university…

I am confident, well spoken and polite member of staff who can grow to have excellent
knowledge about the types of goods sold in your store.
I am able to start work immediately and any holidays including the Christmas period.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my application and I look forward to hopefully
hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
Mr Marlon Augustin
I am a hard working individual with a variety of skills and experience that I have gained from jobs and

Stockroom Assistant
February 2012 - Present Sword Security, Wembley Central, London

Activities and Interests
I have been training with the Westminster Volunteer Police Cadets (WVPC): currently working on
achieving my silver Duke of Edinburgh and have been involved with the Volunteer Police cadet
program for 5 years since 2008 with one of those years being a Met Volunteer. In Wembley Stadium I
supervise from 6-20 stewards professionally and effectively as well as ensure that customers get the
recommended assistance. This goes well with my mental attitude towards taking situations that
appear too hard and simplifying them. My other interests include researching current affairs and
topics. I like to work professionally in my working environments to make myself easily approachable
for the public. My customer service skills have improved whilst working as a spectator safety steward
and were recently tested highly during the London 2012 Olympics.
