W ORK EXPERIENCE

Manager, BackOffice Infrastructure & Engineering

§ Divisional Manager in charge of innovation and engineering within the server, storage and datacenter infrastructures. Oversee

and direct engineering and support staff in support of Technology Operations, Data Centers and Operations Centers, ensuring

scalability to business needs and commitment to customer service. Manage strategic initiatives to improve operational stability,

while providing long-term capacity planning.

§ Designed and developed a thorough disaster recovery and business continuity solution, including the implementation of active-

active data centers through the use of metro storage synchronization and advanced server virtualization. Focus was placed on

securing applications within the IT infrastructure, establishing redundancy throughout primary systems, enacting proper

procedures and protocols for risk mitigation and monitoring, and reducing company exposure to all elements of concern.

§ Built an inventory of metrics and active instrumentation to measure performance and support decisions. Applied strict

adherence to standard operating procedures, and developed preventative maintenance standards and methods for continual

service improvement. Continually ensure strategic and operational alignment with the business and clinical objectives of the

facility, the division and the organization.

2011 - 2013 Country-Wide Insurance Co. New York, NY

Director of Technology & Operations (Chief Technology Officer)

§ Executive Director overseeing the day-to-day functions of both the technology and operations divisions of a privately held

Wall Street insurance company with five subordinate companies in both the insurance and legal verticals. Responsible for the

management of the IT infrastructure and development, overseeing security and policy audits, instituting efficient processes and

controls, designing long-term growth and development plans, and procuring effective and efficient hardware and software to

reduce overhead expenses while increasing productivity. Effectively manage and mentor over 40 employees under direct

supervision, increasing staff productivity and morale.

§ Created and managed an $8 million overhaul of legacy hardware and systems, allowing the organization to embrace a full

virtualization strategy. The project allows for a reduction in management costs, reduced employee count, an immediate return

on energy savings, with future savings on real estate costs by enabling hoteling, all while embracing new technical innovations.

§ Mitigated over $1 million in software penalties and fees by negotiating enterprise agreements with software vendors and

providers.

§ Established a service management system to track inter-office requests and orders. This system generated immediate efficiencies

throughout the entire organization, resulting in ability to report metrics and progress of the service teams, in addition to

adequately predicting areas of issue.

1999 – 2011 TSN Group Stamford, CT

SVP, Operations (2010 – 2011)

§ Executive officer in charge of company operations, revenue streams, and expenditures. Responsible for maintaining and

renegotiating vendor relationships, overseeing human resource operations, presenting company positions, reports, and

prospects to the Board of Directors.

§ Renegotiated long-term vendor contracts, resulting in an 18% cut of out-of-pocket expenses for client projects. Established

processes and controls to tighten costs and expenses while providing further value-add to clientele.

Director, Operations (2008 – 2010)

§ Executive head of operational projects. Responsible for supervising operations for all client projects and programs. Lead in the

creation and execution of various branded events for large Pharmaceutical companies (Sanofi-Aventis, Ferring Pharmaceuticals,

Dermik Laboratories, GSK, and United HealthCare), resulting in significant increased revenue on products, while maintaining a

high ROI.

§ Initiated a company-wide project expenditure audit, resulting in a 23% reduction in expenditures while increasing execution

efficiency by over 30%.

§ Created budgets and subsequent forecast for all areas of the company. Reviewed actual results with senior management

including market segmentation, depth penetration and saturation, and return on investment. Updated forecasting models as

necessary to meet actual results and changes in business variables.

Director, MIS Operations (2004 – 2008)

§ Directed the operations of the technology and communications areas of the company. This included budgeting, spending

analysis and forecasting. Executed quarterly security and compliance audits, and developed new program and efficiency

initiatives. Supervised the IT staff and help desk.

§ Directed the creation of the Wellness Health Education Network (WHEN) providing digital place-based media inside wellness

and health oriented fitness facilities. Reaching over 10 million health-conscious individuals, this initiative created a generous

revenue stream through sponsorship and advertising sales and required the direct management of a $10 million roll-out. In May

2009, TSN Group completed a multi-million dollar sale of WHEN to Zoom Media Properties, requiring my direct

management of all transitional assignments and personnel.

IT Manager (2000-2004)

§ Administration and Management of the information technology department. This role included controlling the purchases of

new computers and software, maintenance of the company’s local area network and servers, the establishment and maintenance

of the mail, web, and FTP servers, repairs to damaged equipment, troubleshooting software issues, and management of IT

interns.

§ Managed the renovation of the Network Infrastructure and Servers to increase productivity company-wide.

Webmaster / IT Help Desk (1999-2000)

§ Network establishment and administration, including the installation of DSL and T1 lines, networking divisions together to

increase productivity, aiding in the development and implementation of the corporation’s Internet site, as well as computer

help-desk support.
