Medical Qualifications
Phlebotomy
Training included in all aspects of venous blood sample collection (routine venipuncture, “syringe draws, butterfly collection, butterfly syringe collection with vacutainer transfer and dermal punctures).
Preparation of samples for transport, with special handling consideration relative to the testing being requested.
Proper disposal of bio-hazardous (regulated) waste.
Urinalysis
Patient instruction for all types of sample collection was extensively drilled. In the coarse of my training, I performed physical (color, clarity, specific gravity) determination of urine samples, I performed the chemical test with strip urinalysis procedure. Training includes complete urinalysis process from diagnosis codes.
Office laboratory testing (CLIA Waived)
Training and practical experience in performing office strep, point-of-care-testing blood glucose, pregnancy testing, throat culture sample, Urea Breath test, occult blood and blood typing.
EKG Monitoring and procedures
Extensive training in EKG interpretation. Performed exercise of measuring PQRST waves on graph papers to analyze the heart rhythm, abnormalities, interpretation, criteria and treatment.
Patient instructions and placement of leads. In the coarse of my training, I performed, review finds and directed by instructor, have been extensively stressed.
Computer Skills
Above average skills in MS Office suite programs; also Quest Diagnostics Care 360 and HP program.
Talented in graphic art and design using AutoCAD, MS Visio, Print Shop, and Paint.
National Board Examination Passed
Having completed the Phlebotomy program from an approved school (American Medical Technologist), I passed national board examination successfully, I am nationally certified as a Phlebotomist.
