PLEASE NOTE: I AM WILLING TO RELOCATE AND TO TRAVEL AS NEEDED, TO ACHIEVE SUSTAINABILITY EXCELLENCE.

VIA Online Application:

RE: Opportunity

To Whom It May Concern:

I have always been a highly motivated and personable individual. I began working at age nine, canvassing the neighborhood for jobs including weed-pulling and grass trimming with hand clippers. At age eleven I began a grass cutting business and partnered with real estate agents to handle all lawn care for their vacant listings, and taking care of homes, lawns and pets for people in the neighborhood while they vacationed. In the winter I sold Christmas cards and chocolates door-to-door, did baby sitting for many families and was popular enough I had to turn jobs down. Fast forward to my professional career:

I have the experience, strategic communication and leadership skill sets to benefit your operations and currently work as Corporate Environmental Director for a diversified manufacturing firm with most every issue imaginable. The firm’s activities include working with Automotive, Metals and Plating, Bedding, Furniture, Carpet Underlayment, Transportation, Multimedia Permitting, Homeland Security, bulk and containerized chemicals and fuels, motorized production traffic and compressed gases from highly toxic to relatively benign.

My extensive experience includes deep skill sets in EHS auditing, program building, networking, customer relations regarding content of products, new regulation interpretation and implementation, including written programs and training, mentoring, managing all EHS, including HazWOPER, PPE, Hearing Conservation, Industrial Hygiene, Noise, LOTO, Confined Spaces, etc; Environmental includes, SWP3, UST’s, AST’s, NPDES, CAA, GHG, RCRA, RMP, SPCC and Homeland Security (DHS).

My background includes various types of agency negotiations, including enforcement actions, both with and without counsel which makes me an excellent manager (auditor, trainer and mentor) for your Sustainability Program.

After years of quite diversified experience with my current employer (a large family–owned firm), I am seeking new challenges with a progressive organization that will allow me to continue to progress toward my full career potential.

I recently returned from a periodic Environmental audit of my current employer's Miami location. While there, I was also interviewed for the Miami-Dade TV show called "Choices". The plant was being recognized by Miami-Dade DERM for the tremendous reduction in pollutants achieved in the past couple of years (400+ tpy of HAP's (Hazardous Air Pollutants) reduced to <1 tpy of HAP's). Public Relations are now an integral part of the EHS field and I have that experience, including Public Hearings and Public Meetings.

I currently write and implement all Environmental compliance programs for my employer's facilities and all of them have passed muster under inspection scrutiny, including two EPA multi-media inspections (16 inspectors on one and 7 inspectors on another) on two of our oldest locations, with no violations cited. Typically EPA’s multi-media inspections result in multiple citations.

Since a resume is limited in the information it conveys, why don’t we meet in person? If you need additional facts before arranging an interview, please contact me at 423-***-****.

Respectfully Submitted,

Curt Baker, CHMM
