NYC Minimum Premium Project:
This project aligns with the NYC fiscal calendar. All claims paid for NYC
employees and covered lives in the PPO environment will be drawn off of
newly established bank accounts. The accounts are being deployed
internally as well as with the affected financial institutions including
BoNY and PNC. There are implications for claims payment, electronic funds
transfer, financial reporting, accounting and reconciliation. New check
registers must be built to be specific to the NYC bank accounts and
associated claim payments.
Roles:
As a lead, I was involved in designing, development and implementation of
Orchestration, Mapping, Web Services, Adapters, Schema.
Consuming WCF services in BizTalk Server.

This project focuses on The Medicaid Encounter Data System (MEDS) risk
adjustment system used by the NY State Department of Health (SDOH) in order
to establish the risk profile of Medicaid, Child Health Plus and Family
Health Plus membership is transitioning to leverage the HIPAA x12 ANSI
formats for claims into the APD (All Payer Database) and to require
submission of most Encounter data elements via the HIPAA version 5010 837-X
Format. In this process, APD mandates submission of all adjudicated claims
and encounters from all current encounter types and sources.
