WORK EXPERIENaCE
• As the first job, I worked with Harish Textile Engineers, a textile machine manufacturing company in GIDC Umbergaon, Gujarat as a production Supervisor in manufacturing division. Basic functions involved were to operate manpower, plan production activities, schedule sub assemblies to manufacture textile processing machineries and co-ordinate with other divisions for related job works.
Duration : Dec’96 to July’97 .
• In a Bombay based small scale company named Ganesh Vac India, a vacuum pump manufacturing company I had my second work experience as a production and design engineer. Designing and manufacturing vacuum pump parts to achieve optimum capacity and vacuum were the main functions along with the maintenance of various types of rotary vacuum pumps.
Duration : Aug’97 to Aug’98 .
• As my third work experience I have worked as a purchase officer with Universal Comfort Products Private Limited ( A joint venture between Voltas Limited and Fedders International Air conditioning-USA since Oct 2001) previously known as Voltas Limited a Tata Group company having a turn over of 450 crores.
I. Responsible for annual procurement of approx. 45 crores of items required for air conditioners other than compressors and motors.
II. Responsible for planning and procurement of all steel sheets required for Window and split air conditioner parts and for sending them to sub contractors for further processing, related transactions of subcontracting, excise work and reconciliation of these materials.
III. Responsible for procurement of all other sheet metal parts being used in Window AC and splits.
IIII. Responsible for Procurement of all interconnecting Copper pipings used for Window and split air conditioners, which also involves global sourcing of required blank sizes for the manufacturer of interconnecting pipings.
V. Responsible for procurement of all sorts of hardware items used in Window and split air conditioners.
VI. Also handled the procurement of other parts of Premium model of Voltas window air conditioners and out door units like plastics, rubber, compressors, motors, and other electric and electronic parts for one year.
VII. Worked as a development engineer of machines for LG electronics, Whirlpool etc.
VIII. Responsible for releasing of purchase orders of capital items, maintenance items and project related items.

• Currently heading a hard chrome plating and fully equipped machine shop untility in GIDC – Vapi, Gujarat. The operations involves hard chrome plating of jobs of all kinds of article and domestic products’ moulds, film and pipe extrusion dies, plastic moulds, critical parts of film plant, rolls used in various industries like printing industries, rubber industries, textile industries,tube drawing dies and other parts used in plastic, rubber and automobile industries. With machining of all kinds of precision turned parts and die components used in plastic extrusion machinery, textile parts, electric and vibration motor parts and hydraulic valve parts.
i. The factory has a work force of 16 persons out of which 5 are skilled, 3 are semiskilled and remaining are unskilled workers.
ii. 8 people work in machine shop and 8 people work in hard chrome plating plant. Remaining are QA and account persons.
iii. The factory also hires polishing persons for die and mould parts on job contract basis.
iiii. Majority of the jobs undertaken by the factory is of plastic and rubber industry parts belonging to the OEMs of plastic extrusion machinery manufacturers like Kabra Glaucesters(USA), Windsor machines ltd and such other companies.
v. Responsible for overall operations of the plant which includes marketing, purchases, production control, quality control, dispatches and related accounts activities.
vi. Having ISO 9001:2008 implemented for the last 3 years.
vii. Having complete knowledge of CNC turning centre programming & operating in Siemens systems.
viii. We have our USp in hard chrome plating of critical components having intricate shapes being used in plastic extrusion die heads. We could also machine turned parts within a closer tolerances within 15 microns.
