Design Builds, Large scale automotive plant construction for General
Motors, Chrysler and Ford.
. Commercial and Residential assignments include low-rise and high-rise
apartments and condo units, The Bow in Calgary and many more.
. Expert knowledge of 3D, 4D and 5D BIM, including modeling and clash
detection, CAD and associated designing and engineering practices,
SCADA, Networking & communication. PLC programming and software
development for robotic manufacturing and inventory distribution
systems.

01/2014 to 10/2014 Chandos Construction Ltd. Edmonton,
Aberta
. Senior Superintendent for a problem site, which had to be taken over
midway through the project.
. Commercial project adding on to a large drug distribution company in
Edmonton
. Numerous challenges presented themselves, which required thinking out
of the box to resolve issues with ground water and a troubled
contractor/client relationship due to high PM staff rotation.
. Contract was successfully completed but Chandos does not have a
suitable project lined up for my level of seniority.
11/2012 to 12/2013 MasterBUILT Hotels Construction Ltd. Calgary
Alberta
. Project Superintendent, new 108 room hotel project in Lloydminster,

. Project included Site management and safety, Coordination between
consultants and trades.
. Assignment was successfully completed.
7/2011 to 11/2012 Lear Construction Mgmt. Ltd. Calgary

. Project Superintendent for a large City maintenance facility in
Lethbridge, Alberta - ICI Construction and Construction Safety. -
Bankruptcy Takeover for Insurance Bond
. Project included Project Manager/Site Superintendent, Site safety,
Coordination between city, consultants and trades.

3/2006 to 7/2011 Anderton Capital Ltd. Edmonton Alberta
. Project Management Consultant for a number of large General
Contractors throughout Western Canada engaged in ICI Construction and
Construction Safety.
. The Bow - Project Manager for Camino Mechanical Systems. $2.2 billion
project.
. Other projects included Project Manager/General Superintendent,
building a LEED Certified Regional Government building near Edmonton,
a public school, and 5 medical /dental clinics throughout the Edmonton
area.
. North Bay, Ontario in 2007 to assist with completion and turnover of a
$200 million water treatment facility, as Senior Site Superintendent.
. Assignment was completed.
3/2005 to 3/2006 Petroff Partnership Architects Markham,
Ontario
. Senior Consultant, Project Manager for Western Canada, Wal-Mart new
store account. Managed and oversaw 35 new store construction projects
throughout Western Canada and 5 in Ontario through a 12 month period.
. Construction and completion of 35 Visions Optical Clinic Offices, as
well as, 40 McDonalds Restaurants.
. Conducted Site Reviews and Project Management, corporate relations
with General Contractors with an annual budget in excess of $400

. Construction Project Manager and General Superintendent for Design
Build operation and construction of a number of quick serve
restaurants for two growing restaurant chains. Average cost to build
of $450k per outlet.
. Handled all management for all phases including site selection and
rezoning applications, safety, permits and inspections, paying subs &
suppliers, costing and maintaining the construction budget.
. General Superintendent for larger medical centers including Grey Nun's
Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta for a major expansion and fifteen dental
offices, along with some custom residential construction.
. Superintendent, Industrial Automation and robotics installations
(General Motors, Chrysler and Ford) (Toronto Office). Contracts often
involved budgets well in excess of $80 million and staffing of 40 - 50
engineering staff and up to 200 construction trades over three shifts.
Work and manpower scheduling, Coordination with the client for
production scheduling, transport management for inbound product and
supplies. Robotics - plant layout, construction and installation, set
up and programming along with training equipment operators.
. General Motor's work was conducted throughout their Canadian and US
plant operations including various plants in Windsor, St. Catherines
and Oshawa, Ontario, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Tennessee.

medical center was a $15 million project, which included specially
designed operating and recovery rooms, along with a mini hospital for
longer term recovery patients. This surgeon's specialty was facial
reconstruction and patients were flown in from around the globe.

. Construction Superintendent - 4 Star hotel - Coast Bastion INN,
Nanaimo, BC. ($12 million complete construction budget)
. Construction Superintendent - Pulp and sawmill construction (Vancouver
Office) Budget was in excess of $100 million with construction over an
8 square mile site, which included waterfront, environmental issues,
wetland management and unionized environment. Crew size for this
project was in excess of 200.
. Construction Safety Officer for all locations
. Nebutron closed their business after 25 years of operation, due to the
loss of a major development contract partner and the remaining
partners opting for retirement.
1975 - 1986 Frewing Construction Sudbury, Ontario
. Journeyman Carpenter/Foreman. Family owned mining and construction
business. Commercial and mining (pit and underground) construction,
Low level apartments, shopping plazas, residential building of single-
family homes in Sudbury and surrounding areas. I started my
apprenticeship with Frewing and worked up to foreman level with my
time divided between the commercial work in the mining division and
building residential homes throughout the area. One year was spent
assisting one of the crews on a couple of Greenpark Developments near
Toronto. I left Frewing Construction for the offer from Nebutron after
the retirement of my Uncle who wound the business down at the time of
his retirement.
