February 2014 - Present
John K. Zaid & Associates Law Firm
A day in the law firm consists of a lot of what we call follow-ups. We use
Outlook's calendar to help us keep track of the client's case- if it's
requesting medicals or calling an insurance company to determine liability.
Because this is a Bodily Injury law firm, our main purpose is to help the
client get better and keep them satisfied. Our daily tasks include
inputting information in De Novo (a law firm system that helps us keep
track of the client's case), answering a very busy phone line and emailing
the attorneys about what that call was about, setting up our clients with
medical providers (chiro's, ortho's, pain specialists, etc), following up
with adjusters to expedite the determining liability process so we can set
our clients up, requesting medicals - hospital medical bills and records or
from any other facility that the client attended after getting into the
accident, obtaining accident reports, preparing reduction requests after we
receive the medical provider's bills and we want to reduce the amounts to
get more money into our client's pocket, and finally preparing demands to
send to the insurance company after gathering all paperwork needed proving
the insurance company that our client was in a serious accident because of
their insured. All of this, plus all the mail we get that we have to scan
and save into their appropriate folders. If it wasn't for Microsoft Outlook
and its extremely helpful calendar, I honestly doubt I would be currently
employed. There is just so much we have to keep up with on the daily, but I
don't mind it because I work best in fast-paced environments.

Freeway Insurance --- Houston, TX
As a sales agent for this insurance company, I had various responsibilities
which included answering phone calls, greeting and taking care of the
customer, selling the product and making sure the customer left satisfied.
From these responsibilities, I acquired outstanding customer service
skills, skills that soon placed me on the top selling agents chart of the
company.

Pronto Insurance --- Houston, TX
My responsibilities at this job mirrored the job description above, with

with marketing supplies such as flyers, pens, calendars, and other
marketing "tools" so that we could engage and intrigue the customers into
successfully purchasing the product, thus, expanding our clientele.
