To whom it may concern;
You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi
I firmly believe that in order to excel; that diligence and hard work has
to be is a major component. GlaxoSmithKline has a particularly strong
appeal to me, and I would like to inquire about the Contract Manager
position in Research and Development.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in International Areas Studies, as well
as over thirteen years of legal experience and seven years of experience in
contracts. Currently, I am a Sourcing Analyst at AmeriHealth Caritas,
where my primary functions are to negotiate pricing and legal terms. As a
Sourcing Analyst, I prepare contracts, mitigate risk and save/avoid cost
for PerfomRX, AmeriHealth's Pharmacy Benefit company, and Perform
Specialty, AmeriHealth's drug management and distribution Company. At
AmeriHealth I handle the end-to-end responsibility for Marketing,
Promotion, and Print, and Language categories. In my current roles, I have
assisted in identifying over $6,000,000 in savings and I have procured
millions of dollars of goods and services. I excel at analyzing, evaluating
and identifying potential problems and providing remedies with minimal
supervision.
My past job experience at Procurian, has provided me experience with all
phases of clinical trials and quality assurance agreements/quality
agreements. In addition, I have experience with working with various
suppliers, outsourcing suppliers and the financial aspect of contracts. My
experience has given me valuable practical knowledge of the pharmaceutical
industry and the overall contracting process. Working in the government
sector, the corporate sector and a nonprofit has given me the ability to
interact with people on all levels. Vigorous and challenging work
environments have provided me the capability to multi-task and manage
projects and deadlines successfully. Working in procurement and on the
sales side has allowed me the opportunity to draft proposals and respond to
proposals as well.
In conclusion, I bring a sense of commitment, dedication, and
professionalism to every aspect of my work. My ideal position would
involve putting my skills and knowledge to work at a social conscience
company who goals are not just profit but people. Presently, I am looking
for more than a job, I am looking for a career and I am confident that I
will be an asset to the office. I appreciate the opportunity to discuss my
qualifications and welcome the chance to meet with you at your convenience.
If you have any questions or require any additional information, please do
not hesitate to contact me at the address or telephone number attached.
Thank you in advance for your consideration. I look forward to hearing from
you.
Thank you,
Cristina McKenzie
