System Analyst/ Programmer II

As a system Analyst and member of Information Systems Management for the marketing Group,

Responsibilities include: Analysis, design and development of Multi-tier Applications with

Market Write software Analysis Group under Information System Division.

I am currently involved in analyzing and fixing and testing ASP.NET Websites issues and making

changes to ASP.NET web forms and Web Services as needed using Visual Studio 2010 and TFS

or creating and updating SQL Stored procedures.

I was involved in a team to design and development of an in- house ASP.NET Backend

Framework that created a clear separation between the following layers: Business Logic, Data

access Object and Back end Data source.

I have written Web Services in VFP and in .NET using XML, SOAP and WSDL technologies.

I wrote several supporting batch Jobs in VB.NET and VFP to retrieve data from SQL Server

databases using complex queries or calling SQL stored procedures and compile the resulting

dataset into SQL reports or PDF reports or generate flat ASCII file(s) that can be used by data

warehouse to be loaded for other departments for querying/analysis or special type of processing.

My previous projects Implementation included: redesigning of Market Write Desktop Application

Menu and Users access modules. Market Write Desktop Application includes a Global Object that

instantiate a set of supporting Objects/classes based on Abstract factory Design Pattern that

support existing legacy VFP Systems/Modules. This system is designed with multiple layers: VFP

Data, data classes, business classes and presentation layer.

I have written middle-tier modules (business classes and data classes) in VFP to access some key

information stored in DB2 Databases by calling DB2 Store procedures through DB2 connect.

I have written many batch processes Jobs to retrieve information from various Databases:

Microsoft SQL 2005 Databases, DB2 or VFP then compile the information into XLS, Word or

PDF reports that are forwarded to a distribution list using SMTP technology.

As Senior Developer, responsibilities included the design and development of Tab Product's File

Tracker software application. File Tracker was developed in FOXRO and the bar-coding interface

was written in Visual basic 6. This application has been sold to companies around the world

including a number of fortune 500 firms. While primarily a client based solution, File Tracker

supports a migration tool to automatically replicate data to/from a variety of external applications,

support for barcode readers and many other features. The primary purpose of the system is to

track files stored in the Tab filing equipment. As such, it provides an extensive way to find

physical files, track location (archive, file cabinet, person to whom checked out, etc.) It provides

extensive configurability by the end user for maximum use.

I was also involved with a team of developers to design a prototype Version of File Tracker 7 as a

client-Server version to access remote Data Sources Such as SQL 2000 databases. We used VFP

7 and Mere Mortals Multi-tier architecture Framework for Prototyping.

We designed a simple web interface using classic ASP to perform Databases lookup and searches.

I was also available to answers clients problems and provide solutions when technical support

department cannot solve client’s File Tracker/System Manager related issues within an

appropriate time frame.

Versatrac is a design tool used by IS Department Managers to custom-build their system

according to their organizational needs.

Software concepts used in Versatrac are: Relationship Environment Model (REM), Processes-

Oriented Windows (POW) and Nested Tracking (NT). Advanced and powerful queries are part of

the core system that enable the user to query information from its internal system database, user

defined screen and its joined table. Versatrac is fully implemented in Microsoft FoxPro .

results for various runs graphically in FoxPro using OLE. I have programmed complex

matching algorithms to match unrelated sets of data types. I have developed many complex

screens, ASCII loader screens and data entry/editing screens with stored validation

expressions/functions stored into the database and configured for optimal use.

I was involved in the development of GIS interface to our software. I have written several

utilities to tie information from FoxPro to ATLAS/GIS (Geographic Information System

Package) using C/C++ script provided by ATLAS under MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class)

library framework.

I worked with Oracle reporting and querying using SQL commands, SAS Routines: Basic
