PROJECTS OVERVIEW DURING MY ACADEMICS

1. Title :Analysis and development of energy efficient electric vehicle.

Objective:The project was aimed at improving the performance of the available electric bikes in

market. The performance was enhanced by few kilometers as we introduced few modifications in an

existing electric bike “Hero e-sprint” and it was observed that there was a considerable increase in

the performance of the system.

Project Details:

• The main aim of the project was to increase the performance of the electric bike by

harvesting the energy which is being unused thus increasing the kilometer/charge.

• Also the vehicle needed frequent charging which was a matter of grave inconvenience. So

we wanted to develop a technology which would continuously charge vehicle while driving. So

we deployed the following components into vehicle:

• Harvesting through shock absorber.

• Harvesting through automotive tyres.

• Harvesting through wind mills.

• Harvesting by regenerative brakes.

• The project was carried out in the sequence as shown below:

• Study of electric bikes and the most common occurring problems, wind mills,

electromagnetic coils, shock absorbers and regenerative brake systems.

• Design of the wind mills, frame for the gear arrangement and automotive tyres.

• Analysis of the designed alternatives and their implementation.

• Design of various components such as rack and pinion and the gear arrangement, shock absorber

along with the implemented coil and magnet system etc. was carried out in Pro/E along with the

2D drafting.

2. Title :Raben K4 Floating Turbine power station.

Objectives : The main aim of the project is to design and develop a floating, portable power station

which uses both hydraulic and wind energy and produces electricity. The hydraulic turbine is a low

head turbine.

Project Details :

• At first data related to speed of river water and air in plain area was collected which was essential

in the design of the blades of the hydraulic rotors and wind mill respectively installed.

• Thickness of the sheet used was decided on common observation and considering the total

weight of the assembly and the hydraulic and wind rotors in particularly.

• The design of the components was done by carrying out calculations which consist of various

concepts from fluid mechanics, turbo machines and design of machine elements for the design of

different types of gear used in it.

• After all the calculation part the modeling was done in Pro/E along with the assembly and 2D

detailing.

• The draft was given to fabricator and some important suggestions from his side was also

incorporated.

• The model was tested by installing it in a river.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Working as a CADD Trainer in LelogixCadd Training Centre, Ghaziabad for the past one

year and has worked on various projects.

• Worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer in CEPTA INFOTECH for about 3 months.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from S.J.C. Institute of Technology, Chikballapur in 2013 with

64.46%.

• 12th from Baldwin Academy, Patna in 2010 with 80%.

• 10th from Baldwin Academy, Patna in 2008 with 85.6%.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Mechanical Design Softwares: Catia, Pro/E, Autocad,Ansys, Solidedge.

• Completed CAD/CAE course in AUTO CAD, CATIA, PRO/E, ANSYS, GD&T,
