Description: The motivation in doing this project was primarily an interest in undertaking a
challenging project in an interesting area of Metal detector. The system is capable of alerting
through buzzer in case of metal in its presence. The main advantage of using this model is that
easy to operate. Efficient and low cost design, Audible alerts using buzzer alarm system.
Applications: Treasure Hunting, Airport and Building Security, Bomb Detection.

Name of project: AUTOMATIC TRAIN BARRICADE SYSTEM
Name of Organization: GNI Robotics & Industrial Automation Research Centre

Description: Automation is a very fast developing change occurring in every industry. This
project is designed for intelligent and efficient barricade for the trains to avoid railway accidents
happening at unattended railway gate. This project utilizes two LDR Sensor, One pair of LDR
Sensor is fixed at one side of railway gate and similarly the other pair is fixed at the other side of
the railway gate. Whenever a signal from any of the LDR Sensor is detected, It indicates through
an LED and then gates are closed, we will be using stepper motor to open and close barricade.
The main advantage of this project is smoother traffic crossings, safer journey as a facility for
collision avoidance is given.
Applications: This system can be used mainly for fast moving trains.

at Vasavi Engineering College.
• Project on DTMF based Automatic Streetlight Controlling & Advertising System in
Diploma.
