Curriculum Project:

Project Title: "Selective Removal RBC For Polycythemia Using In-Vivo

Technique".

Brief Overview Of Project:

The objective of our project is to selective Removal

Of RBC from polycythemic patient Using In-Vivo Technique. Polycythemia

occurs either in neonates or in people above 60 years . The causes for

Polycythemia may be genetic or physiological & the treatment varies

accordingly . The selective Removal of RBC's can provide a time for

physician to make the decision & treatment about the disease . In our

technique, a robotic model is designed for an automatic syringe suction

mechanism for removal of RBC's through a bio-micro filter. This can

reduce the risk associated with the conventional method & the risk of

cardiac arreast in neonates & adults .
